The figure below is what the filing says, published unchanged. What it may not do is sit beside a plain long-only fund and be read as the same quantity. How comparability is decided.

As filed, collateral included
3.63% collateralVXF's filing lists 3,372 positions including 3.63% of net assets in securities-lending cash collateral. Counted as filed the fund reads 329.2 effective holdings with a top ten of 10.71%; on its own investments — the figure above — it reads 582.2 with a top ten of 7.55%. The collateral is matched by a liability and is not a holding the fund chose; since 2026-09-18 every figure on this site sets it aside (methodology). Both numbers are in the data.

Who borrows VXF's shares
2026-06-30The fund lends its holdings, and Item B.4.a of the filing names every firm holding them. At 2026-06-30, $3.6bn was out to 33 borrowers, 3.67% of net assets. The largest, GOLDMAN SACHS & CO., held 14.4% of it.
| Borrower | On loan | Share of the loan |
|---|---|---|
| GOLDMAN SACHS & CO. | $518m | 14.4% |
| BofA Securities, Inc. | $486m | 13.6% |
| CITIGROUP GLOBAL MARKETS INC. | $458m | 12.8% |
| Wells Fargo Securities LLC | $421m | 11.7% |
| MORGAN STANLEY & CO LLC | $352m | 9.8% |
Cash collateral reported against the loan: 3.63% of net assets, 98.9% of the amount lent. That is a floor on the collateral, not the whole of it — collateral the fund does not hold as a position is not in this filing, so a figure under 100% is not evidence of under-collateralisation. Since the previous filing
2026-03-31 → 2026-06-303,318 positions became 3,321: 132 added (2.3% of the fund at the later date), 129 dropped (1.8% at the earlier date). Half the sum of all weight changes, a turnover proxy: 12.8%. Positions are matched on identifiers, so a security whose identifier changed shows as one drop and one add. Asset categories and pricing
as of 2026-06-3096.38% equity, 3.62% short-term investment as filed; 100.0% carried at a quoted market price (fair-value level 1). Categories and levels are the filer's; what a low level-1 share does and does not mean is in the measure's page.
Derivative exposure and counterparties
as of 2026-06-30A position count cannot describe a fund that uses derivatives, because a swap is filed at its unrealised gain, not its exposure. These are the notionals the fund itself reported, against net assets of $97.70B. Notional of an interest-rate or currency swap is not equity exposure.
| Swap counterparty | Notional | % of net assets |
|---|---|---|
| Bank of America NA | $21M | 0.02% |
| Goldman Sachs International | $6M | 0.01% |
Financing leg as filed: the fund pays OBFR01 + 0% on $27M of long swap notional . Issuers fill the spread field differently (some file the all-in rate), so compare within an issuer, not across.

Why 2,017 IWM Holdings Read as 33: Securities Lending in the Russell 2000 ETF
IWM, the iShares Russell 2000 ETF, files 2,017 holdings but our concentration measure read it as 33. The cause is a 17% cash-collateral position from securities lending, flagged in the filing itself; set it aside and the fund's own investments behave like about 840. Seventy-three funds on this site, including IJH, IJR, RSP, LQD and HYG, had the same problem. What we found, what we changed today, and what is still open.
